We at Cosmedical are very excited that we now have the Cutera Laser, which has a versatile platform to treat many varied skin conditions, such as pigmentation, broken capillaries, sun damaged skin, fine lines and winkles, loose skin and unwanted hair.
THE PEARL PROCEDURE
The pearl procedure combines the impact of resurfacing lasers with the gentleness and safety of non-invasive procedures to treat taging and sun damaged skin. Pearl reduces wrinkles, uneven texture and solar damage with fewer treatments and less overall recovery than other technologies to provide a healthy, pearl like glow.

The procedure is performed after local anaesthetic cream is applied to the skin for 45 minutes. You will then require 4 - 5 days of "less social activity" as the skin heals.
Then your skin will have a healthy peal like glow. Some patients may require two treatments spaced approximately 3 - 6 months apart to receive desired results, other patients may only require one treatment.
VEIN THERAPY FOR FACE AND BODY
The cool glide system delivers a pulse of energy, which will cause blood within the vein to coagulate and eventually destroy the vessel, which is later, reabsorbed by the body and eliminated. Blood flow will then be redirected to veins deeper below your skins surface where it should be. This treatment has proven it self over and over again with impressive results.
Patients often require 1 - 3 treatments depending on the severity of the problem, with NO down time.

LIMELIGHT (INTENSE PULSE LIGHT)
Limelight treatment is an ideal treatment for your face, neck and décolleté for skin redness, telangiectasia (tiny veins) and brown spots (pigmentation), ideal for skin damage due to sun exposure.
Laser light is applied to the skin with a thin layer of ultrasound gel, and treatment time depends on how large the area is that needs treatment. Treatment usually takes less than 1 hour, with no pain medication and there is no down time required.
Brown spots, flaking, redness and mild swelling may appear post treatment, this is temporary and will subside with in a few days. It is important that you do not expose yourself to the sun and do not irritate the area treated.
It is usual that 2 - 3 treatments are required to receive optimal results.
New brown spots, telangiectasia and redness may appear again with new sun damage and necessary on a daily/3 hourly basis help prevent further sun damage.
GENESIS
This Laser treatment is ideal for diffusing redness, fine line wrinkles, large pores and uneven skin texture. On average you may require 4 - 6 treatments in order to achieve optimal results.
The condition, rosacea, often presents with diffuse redness and non-discrete, well-defined, vessels and fine pluses. This is a hereditary problem and is usually treated with laser and oral therapy.
You can expect subtle, yet constant effects after each treatment leaving the skin slightly pink for a few hours.
No anaesthetics (topical pain gel) are required.
Genesis works by gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin surface and gently stimulating collagen regrowth. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.
You will feel some gentle warming of the skin during the procedure as the laser hand piece is moved back and forth over the skin.
You may go back to your normal working life with NO down time.
TITAN TREATMENT
Titan is a new category for skin fitness. The titan is a safe, nonsurgical process that uses infra red light to heat tissue in the deep dermis to cause collagen contraction. In addition, Titan can stimulate long term collagen rebuilding that leaves you with younger looking skin.
Titan treats lax and redundant skin throughout the body. Titan is ideal for treating laxity of the neck and jowls, along with other areas of the body such as the abdominal area. Treatment time depends on the size of the surface area to be treated, but usually treatment takes less than an hour
There is no down time for this procedure and 2 - 3 treatments are usually required.
HAIR REMOVAL WITH LASER OR INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (PROWAVE)
Hair removal by laser or IPL is a safe long term hair reduction treatment for all skin types. A thin layer of ultrasound gel is applied to the area to be treated, and then the hand piece delivers a pre-determined energy of power, that is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicle and destroying that follicle. The follicle is only effected if it is in an active growing phase which is one of the 3 phases of the follicles life. The skin is left slightly pink for an hour so and ice may be applied.
There is no down time required for this procedure and the number of treatments required can vary from 4 - 8. This depends on the area to be treated and individual patient response. The area to be treated must not be exposed to the sun or fake tans, plucking or waxing for 2 weeks prior to treatment and the area closely shaved the day prior to treatment. A week or two-post treatment you may observe some shedding of the hair from the follicle, this is normal.
Unfortunately, at present there is no laser treatment worldwide that will treat blonde or grey hair.
